Chad and Lacy
Tiger and Tigress
Chad and Lacy walk together, side by side. The attractive tigress laughs at one of his many, witty jokes, throwing her stripy head back.
Chad smiles when she laughs, looking slyly sideways at her.
They talk about how their past lives were before the whole big war.
"Do you think we could ever get back together?" Chad suddenly blurts out.
"I ... umm ... w-we're just ... f-friends" Lacy stutters, blushing and looking down, wanting to curl into an embarrassed ball of stripes.
Chad nods slowly, a frown creasing his brow.
"Oh" He says. His throat bobs up and down, signalling nerves.
Lacy cringes inwardly.
"I don't know" She says quietly, looking into his eyes.
Chad stares back, smiling romantically.
They move closer, breathing heavily.
"No. I can't" Lacy whispers, moving her head and swerving.
Chad looks down sadly.
I can't get hurt all over again, Chad. Lacy thinks, crying inside.
"It's ... fine" Chad says, giving a fake smile, trying to crinkle his eyes into the correct place to be happy.
A sound makes him growl and he moves his massive frame in front of Lacy, snarling into the knee-high flowers.
"Come out. Now" Lacy says loudly.

Orion didn't mean to listen to there conversation. He was up a tree, half awake, when Kacy and Chad walked by. Tanni was away, but he was taking care of Kalu. And the thought of Chad around made him the slightest but nervous. He got up, and shook, which caused some of the dry leaves to crinkle as the fell from the tree. Chad had noticed, and was now protecting Lacy. Lacy called for him to come out, so he sprang from the branches, and landed gracefully on the ground. His red fur shimmered in the light, and he stared face to face with Chad. Well, how you doing bug guy? He asked with a chuckle.

"Orion" Chad grinned, his shoulders relaxing.
"Yeah fine, small man" He chuckled and nodded, stepping aside from Lacy.
"Hi Orion" Lacy smiled, going to nudge his neck in a friendly greeting.
"So, hows Kalu? I heard about her from a male tiger ... younger but he and I are kind of friends ... he says you gave him a scar" I laughed slightly.

Orion was never really nervous around other tigers, just males that were bigger. Luna came and gave him a warm welcome, and he felt instantly better. He wasn't really comfortable with the...events, that had happend between them. Chad said he was little. He laughed along, though he didn't really enjoy being called small, even if he was. The the young tiger story came up. He chuckled lowly, and smiled as he gave parts of the story. Well, lets just say he won't be on my territory anytime soon. Lacy asked about Kalu. She's getting big. I've been trying to sneak her out hunting with me, but Tanni is...new to being a mom. He shrugged.

"Yeah, it must be hard" Lacy nodded sympathetically.
Chad rolled his neck, getting the muscles stretched.

Orion appreciated Lacy's sympathies. Its fine. I still sneak her out at night.he paused, biting my lip. He silently hoped that lacy wouldn't tell.

Tanni halted. See heard movements in the distant. With a brave step, she popped out from the bushes. A warm array of friends greeted her, including the perfect Orion, and the lovely Chad.

"Tanni!" Lacy grinned warmly and ran over to greet her friend.
Chad stood beside Orion and nodded, smiling and then sat down to try and reduce some of his height.

My eyes flashed with a bit if worry. Kali hunting was a secret. She wasn't usually aloud to leave the den. But the way the to tigresses greeted each other, he dismissed this worry. He was standing next to Lacy when Tanni came, and he quickly stepped aside, so the two could say hello.
