Winks Male Cheetah
I ran with Tamara perched on my back and Royal keeping pace close behind me. I slowed down gradually and came to a birds nest that had fell. I tipped it over, trapping the bird inside. I killed her and gave her over to my cubs, watching proudly as their sharp, needle-like teeth slit through the bird's tough feathers. I called on Korra and smelled another female, vaguely familiar. Asali.

I couldn't wait to see them! Korra was surely ready for company by now. I'd wanted to give her and Winks some time with their cubs, to get settled, and if I estimated correctly, they would have been born not too long ago, but long enough that company wouldn't be stressful. There was one thing I was worried about - Winks. I wasn't sure how he would handle my sudden reapearrance, and I wasn't sure if Korra had told him we'd met, let alone that she'd said I could babysit eventually. So it was with great caution and a little worry that I approached Winks' land. I could smell him close by. Soon, I could see him, running with his cubs. He was feeding his cubs, and then he called his mate. I sat down and watched from a short distance and waited for him to notice me. I'd hoped Korra would be around before we ran into each other. Things would go much smoother with her there to clear up any confusion.

I saw Asali and stood still, searching her body. Tamara and Royal were under my tummy, shivering with energy. I narrowed my eyes and walked forwards, tail waving slightly. "It's okay kids" I said slowly. I nodded to Asali, letting her come closer but shielding the cubs.

Korra Cheetah Female
I was trailing behind Winks and the cubs, making sure that no was hurt, trampled, are anything of the sorts. The little ones were having there first bird, and the big one was keeping an eye on them, so I went for a walk. I didn't go far, but the lovely summer afternoon lulled me one. I felt that someone was near, but didn't pay much attention to it. I was ready for asali to help out. With the cubs getting more active, I was having a hard time keeping up. I thought I saw her, when Winks called me over.

"Asali is here" I hissed at her, frowning. I wasn't ready to have anyone else interact fully with the cubs, let alone spend a full day with them. "You didn't tell me" I said stiffly.

I shook, worried. " I spent a night in her den, when I couldn't find ours. I trust her." I stated, still frightend about what Winks might do. " I'm sorry that I didn't tell you, but all she wants is cubs, and I thought she would enjoy babysitting a little."

"She'll get jealous" I say, sighing. I look at Asali, not quite glaring but kind of giving her a known warning. "Come on over, stranger" I faked a cheery laugh.

I could tell that the air was tense already. Winks nodded at me, allowing me to come forward. I stood, but hesitated. Korra walked up and started talking to Winks. I could tell Winks was frustrated about something, but I could only make out a few words of their conversation, something about trust and cubs and jealousy. Winks thought I would be jealous. Did he think I would try to steal them? I was getting more nervous. He looked at me and invited me over, but something was off in his voice. I walked up slowly and smiled at Korra and then nodded at Winks. "Hey, Winks," I said slightly softer than normal. I hadn't seen him in a while and last time I'd left abruptly. I looked at the cubs and smiled at Korra again. "They're beautiful."

"Asali" I nodded, dipping my head low so Tamara's forehead brushed on my chin. "This is Royal and Tamara ... our cubs" I said, making eye contact with Asali. Tamara boldly stepped forward and i froze a little, paws twitching slightly. Royal stayed sitting between my front legs, yawning and playing with some loose feathers on the ground.

I greeted Asali like a good friend, because she was. I was nervous about the way Winks would act, but at the same time, I wasn't. " Nice to see you, Asali. "

I sat down and Royal lay down between my paws. "I ... Tamara?" Tamara stuttered in a cute baby voice. I chuckled and brought her into my arms, cuddling into her. "Clever girlie. Yes, your Tamara. Say it. T-a-m-a-r-a" I spelled it out and my daughter copied me. I grinned and nudged Korra and Royal started to fall asleep. Tamara cuddled up beside him and soon they were both soundly sleeping. "So. Asali."

Winks and Korra both greeted me, though Korra's was admittedly warmer. That was to be expected though. Winks introduced the cubs and I looked down at them. Tamara and Royal... the names fit. I smiled as Tamara stepped forward. "Hi, Tamara," I said softly to her. Winks was tense, but I couldn't blame him. Actually, the new behavior amused me a little. He seemed to have grown up a bit and seemed so father like now. Tamara said her name and Winks gave her a sweet look and encouraged her. I could tell already that he was a good dad. The cubs were obviously tired and started to fall asleep. I sat down and watched them curl up together. So, Asali. I looked back at Winks, my expression soft. "So, Winks," I gave a half smile. "Congratulations. They're wonderful." I looked between the two of them. "I bet they're a handful."

When Tamara started saying her name, I couldn't help but glow a little. Royal was sleeping. As usuall. I looked my mate, with his little girl, and son, and like everything was just the way it should.

"Thank you Asali" I smiled warmly and looked at Korra.

By now, Royal had woken up, and was now naming on my ear, wile I flicked the around. Thank you, Asali. The wind was picking up, and blowing through the trees and such. Another storm was coming in the distance, but shouldn't be over us for another few hours. They are a handful. I replied with a smile, as Royal slid off my head, and landed in a pile on the ground.
