Zora walked up the crest of the small hill, the wind stroking the thick, plush grass. The sky was dark with night but clear and the night was cool. The dark lioness seemed like a small speck on in the large sea of green. Zora scanned the area, seeing that she seemed to be alone and satisfied with that--she slumped to the ground, her body sinking into the thick grass in a large heap. With it, a swarm of fire flies flew up into the sky looking at if they were trying to the join the stars. Her face was close and her heart burned with anger. Never before had she been so humiliated and insulted. Rumors had caused lions to change their view of her. The worse part was--the rumors were true.

Sierra climbed in one of the high trees. The cool night was perfect for the silver leopard to Gaize at the plethora of stars that made up the night sky. The breeze was cool, and the air was fresh. She couldn't have asked for a better night. She walked out to the edge of a branch, oblivious to the fact that it couldn't hold her weight. 'Crack!' The branch broke, and Sierra was now free falling. Luckily, she managed to snag a branch on the way down. Dangling by her claws, she pulled herself up, and hugged the trunk of the great tree. Thank you for not killing me, great tree She whispered. She looked a round, hoping no one saw her fall. Crap[/b]. She uttered, when she saw a dark lioness near.

There was only one tree in the grassy fields and some leopard was climbing it. Zora crossed her front paws and watched the smaller feline scale the tree only to fall and regain her footing. The dark lioness was in the mood to start anything having to do with a fight. with other wild cats, so she watched, her blue eyes unblinking.

When the leopard noticed the lion watching her, she sighed, and said to herself Well, no use waiting for my death. So with a leap of faith, Sierra jumped out of the tree. She was only about 10 feet up, so it wasn't a long fall. When she hit the ground, she rolled, and crouched low. Though she was smaller, she was much more agile, and maybe even smarter. The lioness was out of view, which worried her. She listened intently, and tryed to locate her enemy. Looks like I got myself into more trouble.

Zora had taken the opportunity to disappear in the tall grasses, crouching low, she slowly stalked towards the leopard who seemed to be totally unaware of her. It had occurred to the dark lioness that this leopard might have been sent by Luna or another lion to spy on her. Luna had friends everywhere. She took a few silently steps forward, making sure to stay downwind of the smaller feline. Without as much as a rustle of wind, Zora threw herself into the air and landed on top of the leopard, pinning her to the ground. Her face was turned up in a ferocious snarl, "Who sent you?" She snapped, her teeth beard, her eyes flashing dangerously.

Sierra was taken by surprise. One moment she was crouching, looking for the lion, then she was pinned to the ground, faced with the might of this lion. No one! She yelped, wriggling to get free. The heavy paws were pinning her by the knock, and she was starting to get light headed. Honest! She kicked her back legs up, scratching the lioness's underside, making her move just enough to get free. She backed up, and prepared herself to use her agility against this lioness's streangth.

Zora snarled and opened her maw to speak again when the wind was suddenly knocked out of her. She pulled back, catching her breath while Sierra crouched ready to fight. "Feisty one." Zora growled, looking at the smaller feline. She got low, ready to fight when she sighed and slowly rose. "Ah, hell with it." She grumbled, slumping slightly.

Sierra wasn't about to let her guard down, but was caught off guard when she didn't strike. this lioness could easily kick her into next week, and be done with her? Why did she stop? Sierra walked closer, her tale said that she meant no harm.

Zora shrugged, her tail hanging limply. "Sorry bout that." She growled quietly. Looking down at the ground, watching the grass.

Sierra was still confused. But she felt that something was wrong with this lioness, by the way her tail hung limply. Though this lioness had just tried to kill her, that was no reason to be unkind. Are you ok? She asked, in a somewhat scared, and concerned voice.

Zora's ears perked up as he heard the smaller feline ask her how she was. Her consideration was enough to lift her spirits a little. Zora smiled weakly at the leopard, "You are kind to ask and if I was completely I'd say no, but I don't want to bother you with my problems especially since I was so unkind to you."

Seirra shook her head, and laughed a little. Nothing was preticulaty funny, but she was trying to lighten the mood. It's fine. Talk to me. I don't have anything else to do. She said with a smirk.

Zora nodded slowly and slumped to the ground, "Did...did you ever have a rival in your life? Someone who always tried to be better than you were at everything?"

Sighing and sitting back, Seirra sat back and shook her head. I guess I could say yes.

"Well my rival started spreading really horrible rumors about me. Ones that could effect my status as a lioness in a pride or ever being in one." Zora growled, anger flaring up in her heart.
