I circle a dried-out tree stump, yawning. This is where i spent a lot of my days. My nights were beside a stream, soaking up for the day ahead. Isolated and lonely, i tried to sing but my voice came out as a raspy croak from lack of use. I sighed and then coughed.

Korra walked the cracked ground, the heat scorching her paws. She dreaded this part of her walk, but it was the only safe way to get home. Safe being a relative term, it's safer than crossing in Dolmio's or Orion's or Chad's territory's. She saw a tree, and was instantly wanting shade. Korra walked closer, but noticed another figure under its branches.

I turned and saw the female bent over the kill.
"Korra?!" I yelled, eyes wide. I sprinted over and leaped on top of her, laughing and licking her. Korra and me were old mates but we had got split up because of the war.

Oh, I've been fine, I'm alive arn't I! Korra laughed lightly, but became more serious. You know, I haven't had a mate, sence you and I split up. She shrugged.
