Dolmio Winks Chino Lacy Chad Zark October (just joined there)
The cougar, cheetah, tigers and lions and ocelot lined up before Dolmio, who was fuming. They could all see another large group heading towards them and they waited impatiently. All were angry and sad. They wanted to kill the monster who had ruined the beautiful Spreading Oak. "Wait until the others are here" Dolmio boomed, quivering with rage. It was his land, after all.

Luna cautiously approached her king, her head low in a submissive bow. Her upper lip was pulled back into a worried snarl, her tail dropping at the sight of the angry felines and a chill ran up her spine as she padded through the dying lands. "My king." She growled nervously, "What has brought such destruction upon our most beloved tree?" She asked, lifting her head long enough to look at past him, her eyes sad with the sight of the once beautiful oak. She lowered in again but in fear and mourning.
Zora hung back in the line of alert felines. She locked eyes with Dolmio long enough to make him aware of her presence and then slunk to the end of the line, her eyes darting across each of the faces of the other big cats. She growled, her tail tapping anxiously. Whoever had done this would pay. She would make sure of it.

Chino smiled warily at Zora as she sat beside him. "Hold it, sweet cheeks" He whispered and walked to the front, beside Dolmio. "Cats. Our beautiful land has been destroyed. The new Animal ... is has done it. I came looking for the tree and found barren land ... everywhere!" He yelled out, making sure his voice rang clear and loud so everyone could hear. "Kill it!" Lacy shouted and Chad and Winks and her started chanting. "Be rational" October said. "It is huge. We could never kill it alone. Especially not within a day. We need search parties, planning ... and patience. Lots of patience" Until then, Dolmio had let them speak. He silenced them with a small roar. "My fellow felines. Thank you all for gathering today. Chino has explained and October is right. We need to plan"

I M A R A
My eyes scanned the crowd as I sat a little ways from my father. More and more were joining the small meeting of wild cats. Some were familiar; many were not. I didn't smile or joke or mingle as I might have under different circumstances. I sat as still as stone, apart from my eyes resting on each individual, and the swivel of my head and ears to follow the conversation. Voices overlapped, some angry, some merely quizzical. Dolmio silenced them with a growl. I turned my head to watch him as he cleared up the confusion and spoke about planning. I offered no solution; I had none. Instead, I turned to gaze at what had once been a beautiful piece of my father's territory. It was all so sudden...my heart broke a little as I saw it now, damaged and dying.

The others were already starting to throw out their opinions as I slunk into the back of the crowd. I didn't know anyone, but I had heard of plenty. I sat, glancing around at everyone before turning my attention to Dolmio.

Zora growled a little at Chino but remained silent. She watched with disgust at everyone's loud and drastic remarks and plans. She only watched Dolmio, the leader of these lands. She remained as still as the spreading oak it's self, only her fur was tossed in the dry, hot wind.

The large number of cats sat in a circle. "If we are working together ... we need to know each other. Chino, Imara, Luna, Zora, Chad, Lacy, Juma, Zark, Winks, October" Dolmio said most of their names and then added Tulips as she joined the group. "We are going to work together ... i am the boss. I am commanding leaders" He said. He knew Ronan and more cats were heading that way and the agressive tiger had to know who was boss. He couldnt be boss all of the time. "Chad, you are commander of Squad 1. Can Imara, Tulip and Winks go with Chad" Chad and his small group went to the left. "Juma, you are the commander of Squad 2. Lacy, Zark and October go with him" They headed to the right. Chino, Luna, Zora and I will head forward. We search for the animal and meet back here in an hour. There is a lion or lioness in each team. They will roar if the animal is seen. GO!" Dolmio roared and they all set off.

Zora and Luna eyed each other coldly. The dark lioness gave a look toward the milky lioness that warned her that she'd would put their differences aside as long as she did. They both made a silent pact for that moment and followed Dolmio silently. Zora hung back, taking everything in, focusing on her smell and hearing. Luna focused on her sight, scanning the land around her. She looked towards the horizon, trying to find anything amiss.

I nodded as Dolmio assigned me to Chad's group. I was a little nervous, not really knowing him. Of course I knew who he was. I followed silently, wishing I could stay with my dad but knowing I had a responsibility.

I swallowed hard as Dolmio called out my name as leader. I felt so unqualified. However, this was simple recon, and I knew I could handle that at least. I nodded to him respectfully, then waited for my group to join me. I looked each one in the eyes; Lacy, Zark, October. "Alright, everyone. We have our assignment - find the animal. Follow me," I said, trying to sound authoritative. We headed east, toward some woods. I glanced back once to see where Dolmio was headed. I was on my own now, in a manner of speaking. I looked forward again, taking on my role as commander.

Chino ran ahead of the group, noting anything strange. Dolmio watched the two lionesses. "Why do yous hate each other?"
Chad's group were talking about the size of the animal and they searched frantically, desperatly. Zark and October's group with Juma and Lacy were on about the evil and devilness of the thing.

Luna and Zora exchanged a glance and the darker lioness spoke, "I'd rather focus on the problem at hand. We are all on the same team right now." Luna remained silent, unwilling to assist Zora in explaining their hatred for each other.

"Luna" Dolmio commanded. Chino awkwardly ran off, expecting to search some more.
"I hope we find the idiot" Chad growled.
"We need to find that thing ... dead or alive" Zark snapped.

"I agree with Zora--for once." She said with a half giggle, Zora didn't smile but her face softened slightly.

I glanced back at Zark as he spoke. I nodded, "I would prefer dead," I commented. "It would save us a lot of trouble." I hesitated then threw a half smile at the group. Would probably be better if we could lighten up a little until it was found.

I glanced at Tulip as we walked. I hadn't spoken to my sister in a while. I must admit I missed her. It was a shame this was how we got to spend time together now. Chad barked out something about wanting to find the creature. I wasn't so sure. I half-wished we could just leave it alone and hope it went somewhere else.

Luna growled, "We used to be in the same pride. We never got along as cubs." Zora nodded.
