Black Lion
I sat outside an empty cave, toying with a small stone. I waited for the white lion, Valen. Word had came from a messanger that he wanted to join my pride and i would have to see for myself. There would be rules. Obviously.
Spotting Valen prowling towards me, i raised a comforting eyebrow and blinked a little.

Valen trotted over the sand, his head high as he spotted the black lion. He padded up to him a stopped away 3 metres, making sure to get some space in between them. "Hello, I'm Valen!" He said proudly.

"I am Dolmio" I said, giving a wry smile. "Word has reached me that you'd care to join my pride? If it is the truth, please note that there will be rules. And if not followed ... you will be evicted from the pride and territory."

"Why yes, of course Dolmio. I'm very loyal!" Valen promised, with a nod if his head. "It'd be an honour to be in your pride after all!"

"I like you already! Okay, the rules. No matter how bigger or stronger or older you get ... i am the leader. Not you or anyone else. If you question my leadership you will be punished. Also, mating with my Queen (Luna) is strictly forbidden. Punishments will be doled out if it happens. Other lionesses are both of ours. We respect each other's space and privacy. No matter what happens, i am leader. Not you. Settled? Oh, and another thing. Big hunting parties ... we lead them. All food gets brought to the males first (us) and we dole out the food. Valen ... i hope you understand this?"

I walked over and slapped him on the shoulder. A welcome to the pride. I roared, Valen joining in, and together our roars signalled 2 males in my even stronger pride. "Stay on my territory for now, but do as you wish. If you want to get more or fight for more, it needs to be shared with the full pride"
