Konnor watched the bird, he hissed at it, but didn't make a move towards it, but instead pounced on a leaf blowing in the wind. He mewed loudly and crawled into a hole, slipping into the very small crack between the roots.

I waited for his strike, but one didnt come. Instead, the cub chose a leaf as prey, and was playing in a hole. At first, I wanted to get angry, but I decided not to. Konnor was still a cub, even as much as I wanted to see him grow, I would charish these days that he was still young.

Konnor twisted his paw, trying to slide it through this thick root, and managed to get his front through, but he stopped at his head. He wriggled, but stayed where he was. The thick roots squished him as they seemed to tighten. He mewed loudly, wishing he stayed close.

I tilted my head, and laughed a little. Appearing from the grasses, I looked down at the cub, and couldn't help but smile. The rots around him were strong, but once I had my teeth locked around them, and was pulling, it wasn't long before they gave way, and Konnor was freed.

Konnor panted and looked away In embaressment. He hissed at the roots, but kept a large distance. The rowdy cub crawled up his dads leg quickly and perched on his back.

"Don't sweat it, Konnor." I said reassuringly, walking in the direction of our den. "You looked good." I added, winking, before he climbed up on my back.

Konnor laughed at his father. His blazing pelt matched Orion's, and up here, Konnor felt like he owned the world! The male cub was more closer to his father, and preferred to spend time with him instead. He still loved his mother oh course, but she was gentle and careful with him, while Orion seemed adventures and exciting!

"What do you say we go on a little adventure?" I asked, leaping over a log that was in our way. I loved exploring, and I was led to believe that Konnor did as well.

"Yeah!" Shouted, scrambling off his back and into the ground, winding through the thick brush. "Where too daddy?" He asked innocently, looking up at his dad while lifting one paw of the ground.

"Well.." I said, pausing for a dramatic effect. "Why don't you guess? Have any ideas about where?" I asked, nudging my excited cub back up on my back.

"I want to go kill some lions!!" Konnor declared, perched proudly on his dads back. "They won't even see us coming! Right dad?" He half stated, half asked, still striking a brave pose.

"Actually, who about we NOT do that." I chuckled. "Why don't we go to the summit?" I asked. The mountain was full of fun things to do, and I was bout his age when the leopard that raised me took me up for the first time.

"OK, see that really tall one?" I asked, looking to the tallest peak. Before Konnor could answer, I started running.

Orion bolted off, and Konnor almost flew off. He had to hang on tight, as well as duck branches that's buzzed by.
