J U M A Male Leopard ;; Four
A light, warm breeze drifted through the grass, causing it to sway back and forth subtly as I moved through the field. I had yet to meet anyone around this area, and I was curious to find out who else lived in these parts. More so, I was curious to know if there were any females of my species whom I could add to my prowl. My...non-existent prowl... Well, I knew it would happen eventually, and I could be patient. In all my four years, I had been, and that wasn't about to change just because I was out on my own now. No sir.
I continued to make my across through the grass, wondering what I could do to pass the time. It seemed like all I had these days was time. I had to admit, it made me pretty bored most of the time. I was grateful to be able to start my own life, but then again, when it was just you, it was quiet. And I would much rather have someone to converse with or hunt with or just walk around with quietly. Yes, if I had a mate, or even just a friend to spend time with, time would pass easier.
I laid now under the shade of an old oak tree, it's branches far too high to jump too, and too high to climb for fun. I resigned myself to rest on the ground and stretched my front legs out in front of me, sighing softly.

I strolled through the trees, humming happily to myself. It was a beautiful morning and as i spotted a tree, i licked my lips. I loved climbing!

Ice Vel Female Snow leopard
Ice Vel strolled easily through te grass welling t her paws. The bright green made her smile as she pawed tiny flowers. Her surprisingly soft fur swayed as she lept over sticks, and landed in front if a tree. A rustle made her yelp and she darted up te tree. Without a sound she gracefully climbed up the thin branches, twisting her slender body to reach the higher ones. A scrape of bark surprised her and she paused, peering through the branches and spotting a handsome pelt, as bright as the sun, with spots like hers. "Hello?" She asked quietly, creeping towards him in curiosity. Her thick paws were cushioning her approach, "who's there?".

I was keeping an eye out for anyone who might show up around my resting spot, so it wasn't hard to spot the pretty white female. My ears swiveled forward as I watched her curiously. It had been a while since I had seen another leopard. I was about to greet her, but she was looking at the tree and I didn't want to startle her by approaching when she didn't see me. I sat up, thinking maybe she would see the movement. As I did, something rushed up the tree behind me.
My whole body spun around and I jumped back, looking near the base. I waited to see if anything would appear from behind the trunk of the oak, but a soft voice came from above me. I looked up quickly, as if the other female would disappear before I spotted her. However, the female, another white female, was looking down at me curiously. "Hello there," I greeted her, relaxing my stance. "My name is Juma. What is yours?" I remembered the other female and turned my head to see if she had spotted us. It was likely, with all the scuffling around.

Ice Vel laughed as he looked around, before looking up. She slid down onto a branch closer to him, stopping at a respectful distance, while sticking her nose through the air to try and pick up his scent. My name is Juma. What is yours? , a friendly voice drifted to her ears, and she registered Juma to his scent. "My name is Ice Vel, and it's wonderful to meet you Juma, I hope I'm not intruding at all, I'd hate to be a bardan", Ice Vel said, "but it's been lonely, I thought I was the only leopard! I'd love it I we got to hang out, but if your busy ill go".

"Ice Vel," I repeated. "What a unique name." The white female continued to speak, worrying about intruding on me. "No, no. Not at all, my dear," I chuckled in my deep voice. "I would love the company." I stretched my paw out to invite her to join me on the ground. I glanced back to check on the arrival of the other female. I wondered if Ice Vel had spotted her yet. I didn't want her to think I was trying to ambush her or anything. "It seems we have more company," I said, still looking at the other female. I turned my attention back to Ice Vel. "Have you met?" I asked curiously. Maybe Ice Vel knew the other leopard. Although, she had said she thought she was the only one. Maybe the two females didn't know each other after all.

Ice Vel dipped her head politely and pawed the air playfully. She laughed and scanned some lower branches to hop down onto, but brought her looking at him with curiousness as he continued on. "No sorry, I thought I heard some noises earlier, but I just assumed it was you." She said truthfully, licking his shoulder reassuringly before hoping down.

My current company denied knowing the other female. I had no reason not to believe her, so I took her word for it. I was hesitant, however, about the unknown leopard. Ice Vel jumped down from the branches, giving me a lick on the shoulder as she went. As her feet touched the ground, I turned to face her. "What brought you out here alone, if you don't mind my asking?" My own reasons for wandering out here had been purely for company, as I wasn't hungry for a good hunt, and I was particularly bored. Was Ice Vel looking to join a group, or was she simply out for a hunt, or a stroll? Since she had said she thought she was the only leopard around, I felt there was a good chance that she might join me as the first in my leap. The thought made me hopeful.

"I'm looking for company, for someone to spend time with", she said truthfully, looking around. "But I haven't seen anybody besides you in a while." Ice Peered at him, she was becoming quite fond of his handsome features.

The female explained that she wanted some company. "We have that in common," I told her with a polite smile. The female was pretty, her white coat rather striking, and my! Those blue eyes were intoxicating. However, being a bit of a gentleman, I wouldn't have said so out loud. Not unless this female wanted to join me in my land, anyway. "You must be lonely, on your own for so long," I observed, feeling a smidge of pity for this leopard, this beauty that I could not believe was still on her own. However, she had said she hadn't seen anyone else in a while. If I was the only male leopard around, it made sense that Ice Vel would be alone. If she didn't get along with females, as I suspected could be a possibility, it also explained why she hadn't banned with another female. "What do you like to do in your spare time, Ice Vel?" I asked, looking for a way to get to know the snow leopard.

Ice Vel watched as he listened to her words, but she wasn't sure what he thought. The sun was filtering through the trees, and small beams blinked across her heavily spotted fur. She swished her tail and unsheathed her claws, gripping a higher branch and hoisting heralded up onto it. The bark was thick, and was easy to grab, so she twisted up the branches, simply by jumping. Ice Vel heard him speak again, and she didn't have to think long before her answer. "Climbing. I love Climbing" she explained, and spread herself across a thick limb, dangling her paws down. "I've met lots of unfriendly felines on the ground, it's safer in the trees, and up until now I've preferred to be on my own.".

My eyes followed Ice Vel as she weaved her way up into the canopy of the tree. She answered my question in words and action. She liked climbing. "I can see that," I chuckled, leaping up into the tree myself. Ice Vel was stretched out on an upper branch, and I lept onto one slightly lower but in clear view of the other leopard. She explained that she felt safer in the branches of the trees and I listened with my full attention. I nodded along in agreement. Then she said she preferred to be on her own until now. My ears pricked in curiosity but I laid down, letting my tail hang below the branch. "May I ask; what changed?" This could be good! I was hoping to somehow work a proposal to join me into the conversation, but Ice Vel herself had brought it up. But would I be suitable? Would she want to join me? The questions were back thoughts, as most of my attention was on the white leopard, awaiting her answer.

Ice Vel noted his ears prick up and his attention was trained on her. She waited for him to get comfy on the branch he was on, her eyes following his tail as it dropped down. With a smile she looked back at Juma, thinking for a second then answer, "we'll, actually seeing another leopard for the first time, and I'd Rather not want to leave, but its ok, if your solitary, I can leave at the end of the day" she promised, pulling back her ears and yawning, her big pink tounge curling inside.

"No, no!" I said, a little too quickly. Ice Vel had suggested that I was solitary, and I wanted to debunk that theory, however, maybe I could have been a little less desperate sounding. I shook my head, allowing a small smile. "I mean, no, I'm not solitary. Though I have been looking for the first to join me..." I trailed off, suggestively. Anyone who looked at Ice Vel knew she would be a prized asset. And the fact that we were getting along so well now only made me want her more - er, for my leap of course. But, being the gentleman that I was, I would allow Ice Vel to decide whether she would like to join me or not.
