Cheetah
The moon was rising over the calm, and quiet hillside. I lay, memorized by the beauty that surrounded my. Winks and I had weren't the same sense the raid. I still had to smooth things over with him. I was thinking about bring Royal along with me on my walk tonight, but opted not to, seeing as he really wanted to go exploring by the falls. Tamara and I didn't really speak, other than the casual "hello" or "How are you". Our family was broken, and it made a tear fall down my cheek. The moon light bathed the grass and flowers in a pale glow, making the night, feel, magical. I sensed another cheetah near. And it was the exact cheetah I wanted to see, but I didn't know why.

King paused slightly. The moon was roun and bright, shining down protectively. He slipped silently through the trees, hoping for another pelt. He hadn't been here before, but the other territories had been searched, in his hazy search for Korra's family. He steeped into a scented clearing, eyeing a pretty sight. He trotted up, smelling the air l, and indentifiyng no other felines. King wagged his tail happily, and strut up, holding his ears back friendly. "Hello beautiful!", he said, nuzzling her with a large purr.

Tail wagging, and eyes wide, I jumped up, and turned to face King. He purred, and nuzzled me, and I nuzzled back. "King! It's so great to see you!" I purred. I stirred up a bit of flowers when I stood up.

The flowers ruffled my fur, and swayed when Korra jumped up. I shook with excitement, was she really excited to see me? I laughed quietly, chuckling out a response. "Long time no see!"

I nodded, and stepped back after realizing I had rattled him a bit. "Ya!" I said excitedly. I felt something land on my right ear. I giggled when I looked into a puddle, and found it was an blue tropical flower.

King sighed happily, he stepped back too, and winked at her in the moonlight. A flower twirled down onto her. "Still as pretty as ever!" He replied, purring happily. "How are you?"

I blushed under my fur when he complemented me. "Im doing well. The cubs are growing up really fast." I frowned. It seemed like just yesterday they were running around on stubby little legs. "Your looking well, I take that everything is Ok with you?" I giggled and took a step closer.

"I think my life just got a little better!" He teased, stepping forward as well, breathing in her soft scent. "It's good the cubs are well though, I wouldn't want anything to happen to them!" He said, with a protective echo to it.

A low laugh escaped me, and I like how much he cared for my cubs. I never even asked him to associate with them, let alone befriend Royal. Warmth radiated from my heart, and butterflys fluttered in my stomach. But why? I had a mate, Winks. But could I really be in love King? Was I still in love with Winks? His sent floated into my nose, and my heart melted. *I might be love King.*

"I had a thought," king smiled teasingly, licking her nose before continuing, "my life would be a lot better with someone special in it". He winked, flicking his tail back and forth. His spots seeming darker than they were, almost blending into the ground if it wasn't for the moons light. He gazed into her eyes softly, and knew exactly who he wanted to be with. "Someone amazing and smart, some one close by." He joked by looking around as of he expected the 'one' to come walking out at that moment. Without goving up, he titled his head back, looking to the stars as if that someone would waltz from the stars. He exzamened the ground, but shaking his head, laughing as he gazed behind her, left and right. He chuckled and stopped his eyes on her.

"I don't suppose you mean me?" I teased, now standing next to him. His little play before amused me. I tryed my best to keep him from knowing that I had feelings for him. But it was imposable to keep it out of my eyes. he looked straight into them, and I knew he knew.

"Maybe, you were second under my list." He teased, "oh wait- the seals couldn't make it, so I guess your up first!". With a he heartfelt sigh, king licked her with affection.

"I love you too." I nuzzled, and licked him back. The butterflies still stayed, and I was blushing like crazy, but I didn't care. oh, what for Royal to here!

"This is perfect, well your perfect!" King purred happily. "A new start, for both of us.". He couldn't help thinking of royal, and if they would ever have cubs of there own. King was truly happy.

"Don't sell yourself short!" I cooed. Rubbing up against King. My fur had a silver haze from the moon, and the blue flower seemed to match my eyes perfectly. King was strong, and beautiful. The flowers scented the air wonderfully. This was a perfect night, for two perfect lovers.
