I nodded knowingly then looked up at the sky. The rain started to splatter down, and i put my ears back. "Do you have a cave you can spend the night?"

Zora looked up at the rain, the sky darkening more and more as the warning wind blew. She looked over at Dolmio and slowly shook her head, "No." She stood and let out low roar, strangely enough the thunder answered back as if they two were good friends reuniting. Zora smiled, her eyes crinkling slightly as she let out a light, quiet laugh.

"Well, i do love the rain. But i can't help but offer you shelter for the night" I called to Zora after the thunder had roared over her words and the lightening lit up the sky. I turned to the left, towards my deep, cosy cave. I cocked my head, asking if she was cool with it.

Zora looked behind her, as if expecting someone else to be behind her. As if Dolmio was referring to someone else. "Just keep your paws where I can see them." She said jokingly. She gave on last farewell look towards the storm, it thundered unwilling to let her take shelter from it. The dark lioness dipped her head and entered the den.

I laughed heartily, holding up a paw. I followed her into the den and led her down a dark tunnel into a well lit, circular room. It had dry, crackly leaves as bedding and a few flat rocks and stones. Rain leaked through in one corner, collecting in a dead fern leaf. The room was lit by a never ending bonfire off to the site, placed in a dent in the wall.

Zora wasn't one for going underground but she left that discomfort at the door, it was pleasant and warm inside the den. She lowered herself to the ground, glad it was spacious in there.

"Anything you need? There are fowl and antelope around here, water in the leaves and a warm fire ... we can tell camp fire stories" I chuckled, sitting on a rock and amusing myself by thinking of the many ghost stories i was brought up on when i was younger.

Zora let out a breathy laugh and shrugged, "I'm good for now thanks." She said, stretching out a little, closing her eyes and listening to the thunder and lighting speak to each other-their own special language.

I sighed happily and lay down on my side, eyes half closed. I must have dozed off a little because when i woke up, it was cold and there was a strong, gusty wind blowing down the tunnel and making the fire flicker. I went outside. The thunder and lightening was crazy and the hail stones pounded to make dents in the ground. The birds and the animals had retreaded and the trees looked as if they were curling inwards to escape the weather.

Zora was awake and watched Dolmio go, she let him, unwilling to move from where she was. She was comfortable, but she had a feeling she was going to be here for a while, the wind and rain had picked up and were both howling like crazed dogs.

I came back down the tunnel, grim faced. "The weather is horrible, Zora. At least you have a full belly ... don't think we'll be hunting for a day or two"

Zora sighed, "I hope you don't mind sharing your den." the dark lioness sat up, still resting on her side.

"Your more than welcome to stay, beautiful" I teased, leaning against the wall.

Zora let out a huff, "Thanks." She said, with a half grin, slumping over on the ground. Wondering how strong this den really was.
