King prowled over the sand. His darkly striped fur glinted from his sleek pelt. He trotted along his territory lines, sniffing for intruders. His dark ears flicked and he stared at some movement.

Tamara was older and bigger now. She walked along the sand, her spots glinting in the sunrise.
I spotted a male cheetah ahead and frowned, sitting down.

King locked eyes with the smaller cheetah. He flicked his tail, and walked over. Strutting his legs and holding his head high. He stopped in front of her. "Who might you be?" He said deeply

"Tamara" I said, looking up through my eyelashes at him.
I ran my eyes over his body, discovering he was a king cheetah.

"Tamara, pretty name" he complimented, "I'm king" he finished with pride, "Arnt you a bit far from home?" King sat down, and followed her agile, small torso. He stood tall, his tail curle neatly around his paws.

"Probably. I don't care" I said, rolling my eyes and scanning the rolling hills of sand.
"It's a bit boring out here, eh?" I asked, meeting his gaze.

My eyes narrowed, how could she just waltz into my territory, and insult it? My ears flicked back briefly, "Why are you here?"

"Wandering" I said, stretching out and lying on my side, smiling alluringly at King.

"Better wonder somewhere else" I snarled unhappily and walked away, continuing my border patrol. My ears held back and muttered something under his breath. Kings ringed tail swayed as he sauntered off.

I laughed at her spunk and trotted off. Flicking my tail at her. "Don't sweat it kid" he replied, "not used to having a cub around"

"Fine adult" I corrected myself and laid down. My tail thumped on the ground and I stretched out.
