O R I O N male || years Tiger
Kalu and I walked quietly through the forest. It was hard to believe that she was already nearing her second birthday. I looked over my shoulder, and watched as my little girl....wasn't so little anymore. I maintained a good relationship with her, I wanted her to remember me when she finally left her life with us and began her new one. I sighed. All she wanted to do now was leave, and start her new journey, but I didn't really want to let go just yet. I was still taller than her, but she was a hare taller than her mother. Her coat was a fiery red, like mine, but she had the hints of white in her coat like her mom. She looked like her mom. The wind was blowing, and the trees rustled with dry leaves. I noted the river, and my old den, and knew we were close to home. Tanni and I had a surprise planned for our daughter.

Tanni Sighed happily. She slipped quietly through the trees, and out onto the path. Her daughter, Kalu walked with such pride, such cunning eyes and beautiful fur. The two walked in step, Orion, the bold red tiger, their refined black stripes almost blended together. She let out a long Purr, stopping her golden body in front of Orion, rubbing her head affectionately on his, and with no hesitation the same to Kalu. Tanni licked her jaws, the faint taste of bird lingered on her lips from a recent hunt, but she shrugged it off as she smiled happily, walking beside Orion. "Ah, my Kalu, still as pretty as always", she teased and winked at Orion. although Kalu was still her baby, she would eventually grow up, and her leaving to start her own life would have a major affect on Tanni. She gazed off, but quickly flicked her attention back.

Orion smiled. "nice to see you, Tanni." He licked her forehead, and motioned for her to follow along to the den. Kalu greeted her mother back with a purr. She could tell by the look in Tanni's eyes, that her growing up was taking its toll emotionally. Orion and the others continued walking through the forest, perhaps the last walk they would take before Kalu went and started a new chapter.
